Zoel Joseph Richard

Zoel Joseph Richard passed away peacefully surrounded by his daughters on January 25, 2016 at the Saint John Regional Hospital. Born in St. Charles, NB on August 29, 1932 he was the son of the late Daniel and Suzanne Richard. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by his sisters Yvonne Landry, Eva Vautour and Delima Malliet and brothers Rene Richard and Bernard Richard.

Zoel worked as a carpenter for United Brotherhood of Carpenters Local 1386, he was a member of the Knights of Columbus and the 30up club. He was a very proud grandfather and loved to watch his grandsons Lucas and Matthew play hockey. He will be sadly missed and always remembered.

He is survived by his daughters Theresa Richard (Kevin Golinowski) of Victoria, BC, Lisa Richard of Victoria, BC and Tina Fuller (Jay) of Rothesay, NB; cherished grandchildren Lucas, Matthew, Noemie, Maggy, Kayla, Drew and Ella; brother Gonzaque Richard of Oshawa, ON; sister Patricia Melanson of Moncton; special friend Freda Parlee; several nieces and nephews.

Resting at Fundy Funeral Home, 230 Westmorland Road, Saint John, (646-2424) with visitations on Wednesday, January 27 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held from Fundy Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, January 28, 2016 at 11 a.m. Remembrances in memory of Zoel may be made to the Heart and Stroke Foundation, The Kidney Foundation or to the charity of the donor’s choice.
